Here an update on the repairation of the convertible. The engine is fixed (fired three cylinders) and the gearbox is completely new. It will be soon on the road again.

Also did myself some work on the Coupe. I renewed the throttle cable and fixed the gaspedal.

The Humbugs, an American band, has a song called "A cream green Karmann Ghia".

Last saturday I brougth the convertible to a workshop (Classic Restorations) in my hometown Alkmaar. These guys going to mount a new transmission, check the engine and align the convertible top. They plan to be ready before the first of April.
Classic Restorations in Alkmaar restores classic cars, but they are also very good in restoring classic boats (i.g Riva / Schneider) They restored a Schneider boat, really fantastic. I was thinking of putting it on a trailer behind the Ghia, until I heared the asking price....
