Yesterday there was a sixties happening in our Hometown Alkmaar. We and Hans, also a Karmann Ghia owner, went there, although Hans took his Hudson coupe. We looked there at American muscle cars, mopeds, European oldtimers and a lot of other sixties stuff. We first decided to take the lowlight out, but later that day the sun came out and we decided to get the convertible also.
It was a nice meeting, talked to a man from Amsterdam, who owned a Karmann Ghia in the sixties. Even his father and brother had also owned a Ghia. He will look for some old pictures and when he finds them, he sends me a copy for the blog. I'll keep you posted .... |

Here are som pics of a local show near my hometown, the "Keverdag in Schagen". We drove there in the 65 coupe because the lowlight is getting her new garage in August. Unfortunally I forgot to take some pics of my own car....

On the 8th of June I organised together with ZieZeZo and the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands a KG drive for ill children. ZieZeZo is an organisation that gives childcare for these children at home. About 20 children , their brothers and parents enjoyed driving around in 12 Karmann Ghia's. It was a beautiful day and all the children had a wonderfull day. You can read the story of Stephan, one of the children overhere, sorry only in Dutch.
