Went to the first VW Airborne Meeting in Soest. The meeting was held on a former Dutch Airbase, which is transformed to a museum. Due to the very nice weather conditions, the meeting was very well visitied. With the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands we were able to attend with 26 KG's. Luckily I had the trans axel boot replaced in time.

During the 50th anniversary of the Type 34 I spoke to a former Karmann Ghia employee. We had a very nice conversation. and he asked me if I collected Karmann Ghia memorabilia. Of course I said. Well said the old man, give me your adress and I sent you some Karmann Pins. I did so. The next saturday the old man was on the meeting grounds and brought the pins with him ! I thanked him a lot for this very nice gift.

Finally I had some time to mount some NOS goodies on the Lowlight. Last sunday I installed these NOS Karmann Ghia mudflaps. They look good !
But, had some problems to. The swing Axle boot is leaking on the right side, hope I can fix it before sunday because I intend to visit an aircooled meeting then.

In the weekend of 12 - 14 August we visited the 50 Jahre Type 34 event in Georgsmarienhutter, nearby Osnabruck.
More than 150 type 34. A total of more

than 400 type 14, 34 and TC's where seen overthere. We had a fantastic weekend.
