Lowlight almost ready
Washed the lowlight, and getting ready for the first drive. Next weekend we're going together with other members of the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands for a long weekend away. The Ghia must then be ready.
A month ago I installed, with the help of Tom (thanks !!), another front windscreen seal. The old seal was to far gone, leeking at all places. The new one fits very good and the Ghia is dry inside.
Also installed the "NL-sign" an original SWF sign.

Technical Day KGCN
Yesterday the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands organized a technical day at the VW Klassiek Centrum. Thanks to Maurice and his crew we learned a lot more about our aircooled engines.
Also spoke a lot of Karmann Ghia Club members. You can see more pictures on the KGCN Forum overhere.
We also visited the Automuseum in Schagen. They have a nice collection of cars, also some nice Karmann Ghia stuff.

New Shock Absorbers
Installed some new shock absorbers on the lowlight. The old ones really needed to be replaced. Only had some problems with the installation of the front ones. Because the bushes of the old absorbers where rusted and stick to the front bolts. With the product of loctite 8040 freeze and release I was abble to remove the bushes. Good product which I can recomend.

First Meeting KGCN
Yesterday the first meeting of the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands took place. With about 15 cars we went to Meguair's in Baarn. We attended a workshop of how to clean, polish, wax and take care of your Karmann Ghia.
Learned a lot. If you really want to clean your Karmann Ghia the right way, visit one of these workshops.

First drive this year
Made my first Karmann Ghia drive for this year. Enjoyed it a lot and shot some nice pictures along the way.
The convertible drove great, nice and smooth after the service job last week. I'm ready for the first meeting of the Karmann Ghia Club Netherlands this weekend.
